Jagan Mohan Reddy is facing enough heat on the three capital bill and as well as on the AP legislative council bill. Now, he took another controversial decision which, apparently has kept as a secret from the government.
It is well known that Jagan who was inspired by the Telangana CM KCR decided to form a few new districts in Andhra Pradesh. Now, it is being said that he finally took an initiative regarding this and three new districts will be formed in the state anytime soon.
Here is the plan of Jagan Mohan Reddy which supports his cause. To be frank, it is a fantastic plan to back up his decision. AP CM Jagan Reddy has promised and announced government medical colleges at Machilipatnam, Araku and Gurajala. This needs 600 crores and Jagan is not willing to spend that amount as he is already using much more for welfare schemes.
As a result, his advisors came out with the idea to avail funds under the Central government schemes. As per the rules, the Medical Council of India (MCI) would provide 60 percent funds for medical colleges coming up in backward districts in the country.
So, he decided to make Machilipatnam, Araku, and Gurajala as new districts of the Andhra Pradesh. In those three names, Araku and Machilipatnam were already listed in Jagan’s proposal but Gurajala is just a constituency in Narasaraopet parliamentary constituency.
There are already rumors that the Jagan Reddy Cabinet has already approved this. It’s not known why the matter is kept a secret.
