After her son Mark Shankar recovered from a fire accident in Singapore, Anna Lezhneva, the wife of Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, paid a visit to the Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple. She reached Tirumala on Sunday evening, signed the customary declaration, and offered prayers at the Bhūvarāha Swamy temple.
As a sign of devotion, Anna shaved offered her hair at the Kalyanakatta and stayed the night at the Gautami Guest House. On Monday morning, she used the Vaikuntha Queue Complex to enter the temple and took part in the Suprabhata Seva ritual. Following her darshan, Vedic scholars blessed her with chants at the Ranganayakula Mandapam and presented her with sacred items. She also performed harati at the Akhilandam.
Later in the day, Anna visited the Tarigonda Vengamamba Annadanam Complex and donated ₹17 lakh in her son’s name to fund meals for devotees for a day. She personally served food to the visitors and joined them for the meal. Sri Venkayya Chowdary, the Additional EO of TTD, was also present for the occasion. The Jana Sena Party had directed its members not to attend the event. Anna’s devotional acts and generosity gained appreciation from people.
