Andhra University (AU) has made Andhra Pradesh proud by securing the 4th rank in the State Public University category in NIRF Rankings 2025 released by the Union Ministry of Education. Last year, AU stood at 7th place, but this year it moved up three positions to 4th, becoming the No.1 government university in Andhra Pradesh.
In the Universities category of NIRF 2025, Andhra University improved from 25th rank last year to 23rd rank this year. In the Overall category, which includes central universities, state universities, and research institutes, AU retained its 41st position.
Other notable achievements in the NIRF Rankings 2025 include:
Andhra University Pharmacy College improved from 34th to 31st rank.
Andhra University Engineering College rose from 90th to 88th rank.
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Law College maintained its strong 16th rank.
Andhra Pradesh Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh congratulated Andhra University for this achievement. He praised AU for improving its performance in the NIRF Rankings and expressed confidence that the university will achieve even greater milestones in the future.
