Though the Coronavirus cases have been witnessing a steady decline in Andhra Pradesh, the state government decided to continue the curfew for a few more days to ensure the pandemic curve flattens. However, the state has eased curfew hours, giving more time to people.
As per reports, the curfew will be in force daily from 6 pm to 6 am. Prohibitory orders under Section 144 Cr P C will continue to be in force from 6 am to 6 pm.
The decision to this effect was taken during a review conducted by CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy with the authorities on the conditions of Covid-19.
Shops in the state will be closed till 5 pm. Government offices will continue to function as usual with curfew relaxations. The relaxation hours will come into effect from the 21st of this month. The easing will continue till 2 pm in East Godavari district as Covid-19 infections are high.
