The Andhra Pradesh cabinet met today in the secretariat and discussed various things regarding the state. With Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy taking the lead, many key issues were discussed during this meeting.
The first and foremost issue that was discussed in the New Industrial Policy, which will be in effect till 2023. The government of Andhra Pradesh is planning to create as many jobs as possible, with the help of this policy. It is also trying to create more opportunities for SCs, STs and Women, in the industrial arena.
When the Industrial Policy was first announced a few days ago, a lot of doubts were raised with respect to its viability and practicality. The Jagan government has introduced many policies ever since it came to power, but all of them turned out to be absolute duds. This has given way to many speculations and doubts on the new policy.
The YSR Vidya Kanuka scheme has also been green lit by the cabinet, along with YSR Sampoorna Poshakahaar scheme. The Vidya Kanuka scheme will come into effect from September 5th, and the Poshakahaar scheme will come into effect from September 1st. This Poshakahaar scheme will make sure that every mother and her child are getting all the nutrients into their system. For this, the government is all set to spend a whopping Rs. 1863 Crores.
The government is also planning to deliver good quality rice to all the people who are entitled to it, from December 1st. For this purpose, 9260 vehicles have been chosen to go around from house to house for the delivery.
On the other hand, the cabinet meeting also spoke about the way the ongoing flood has to be managed in the state. The godavari flood water has already done a lot of damage to many crops, houses and other domestic day to day livelihoods. Islanders have been the most affected because of this.
Despite the government sitting and planning about how they should manage the floods, they are miserably failing at making sure that they are being there on location to really help those who need it, at the right moment.
