Veteran cricketer Ambati Rayudu, who is currently playing for MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings, announced that he will retire from the Indian Premier League (IPL) after the ongoing season.
The 36-year-old cricketer took to Twitter to share the news with the fans. “I am happy to announce that this will be my last IPL. I have had a wonderful time playing it and being a part of 2 great teams for 13 years. Would love to sincerely thank Mumbai Indians and Csk for the wonderful journey.”
Interestingly, Rayudu has deleted the tweet about his retirement minutes after posting it. However, it remains to be seen what made the CSK batsmen to delete the unexpected tweet.
Ambati Rayudu has been part of 187 IPL matches, scoring 4187 runs at an average of almost 30, including 22 half-centuries and one hundred.
