Minister for Water Resources in Andhra Pradesh, Ambati Rambabu, on Tuesday, said that Ramoji Rao, the chairman of Eenadu Group, is the real president of the Telugu Desam Party. He said that it’s always been him that ran the entire show from behind the screens. He made these comments in reference to the reports that have been coming out in Eenadu, with respect to the Polavaram Project and the state government.
Rambabu said that Ramoji Rao was trying to defame the YSRCP government in the issue because the government handed over the Polavaram project contract from Ramoji Rao’s relatives to another group, after it came to power, in its reverse tendering process, through an open tender. He said that this is why the Eenady paper is trying to throw dirt on the government.
Rambabu went on to say that it’s always been Ramoji Rao who truly wielded the power in the TDP, and that it’s always been him who selects the candidates for the TDP, and takes crucial decisions, with Chandrababu as his disguise. He also said that the people are watching everything, and they will give the perfect answer to all these politics in the 2024 elections.
