YSRCP senior leader and state Irrigation Minister Ambati Rambabu has now found himself amidst another huge controversy after a petition has been filed against him for the sale of tickets in the name of YSR Sankranti Lucky Draw. The petition was filed by a Jana Sena Party member after the Police refused to file a case.
The court in Guntur asked the police to file a case against Ambati, and also asked them to investigate the case thoroughly. It was JSP Guntur district unit President G Venkateshwara Rao that registered the case against Ambati Rambabu. He said that the YSRCP is supporting lotteries in the state, despite lottery being banned by law in Andhra Pradesh.
He said that the YSRCP is selling these tickets at huge prices, through which the party is making huge money. Rao said that Ambati should be looked into thoroughly for endorsing such a thing despite being a responsible government servant, and for personally asking the people of the Sattenapalle constituency to buy those tickets.
