OTT giant, Amazon Prime video recently released the list of films which will be premiering on the platform soon. Much to the surprise of many, ‘Master’ title was on the list. Netizens were quick to assume that Tamil superstar, Vijay’s ‘Master’ will be out on Amazon Prime video.
Amazon’s post left Vijay’s fans worried as they though the film will be skipping a theatrical release and would release directly on Prime video.
However, Amazon Prime came up with an explanation saying the title they had announced is that of a Korean film which released back in 2017 and it has nothing to do with Vijay’s film.
Also, 7 Screen Studio which is producing Vijay’s ‘Master’ made an affirmative statement. “Thalapathy Vijay’s fans should rest assured. Master will definitely be getting a grand slam theatrical release and Vijay’s fans can celebrate the same,” the statement read.
The official announcement from the makers of Master settled the dust around the issue. Now, it is very much clear that the Logesh Kanagaraj directorial will certainly be released in theaters once they are re-opened.
‘Master’ has Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi in prominent roles. Malavika Mohanan is the female lead and Anirudh Ravichander scored the soundtrack.
