Venkatesh recently wrapped up his portion of Drushyam 2 which is the Telugu remake of Malayalam film with the same title. Jeethu Joseph who directed the original is helming the remake as well and Suresh Babu is producing it.
The latest we hear is that Amazon Prime has come up with a lucrative offer for the direct-to-digital rights of Drushyam 2.
Notably, we had exclusively revealed that Suresh Babu is contemplating the idea of releasing Drushyam 2 directly on digital platforms. Now, Amazon Prime is said to be the front runner to acquire the direct to digital rights of the Venkatesh starrer. The exact amount offered by Amazon Prime for the rights of Drushyam 2 are unknown for now.
Suresh Babu is yet to take the final call on Amazon’s proposal though. He is currently focused on Narappa which is in final leg of production.
Amazon had previously released the Malayalam version of Drushyam 2 on their platform. They are now planning to release the Telugu version as well.
