Unwilling to share the credit with the previous government, YSRCP government has hinted about the shifting of Capital from Amaravati to any other part of the state. While Donakonda was anticipated to be the first choice of the new capital of AP, now comes a different version about the issue.
BJP leader T.G. Venkatesh said that the state government is not just planning one capital, but four at once and is discussing the same with the Central government for quite some time. Kadapa, Kakinada, Guntur and Vijayanagaram will be projected as Capital city areas of AP in the future, Venkatesh said, clarifying that he got the information from the key leaders of BJP.
Not just limiting the entire development to one city, the idea of spreading it across four cities, picking them for Capital is indeed a good idea. In fact the intellectuals like Loksatta President Jayaprakash Narayan expressed the same in the past.
So, if Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy moves forward with the decision, the results may release good fruits. However, he may also have to face a good amount of negativity for a few days, for ignoring Amaravati.
