Opposing the decision of three-capital-city-model, Amaravati farmers called for a protest against the state government today.
It is known that in TDP’s regime, farmers around Amaravati have contributed to the Capital city construction by offering their lands. But the situations have taken a quick turn as TDP faced a humiliating defeat and YSRCP rose to power with a tremendous majority. Unwilling to give any credit to TDP government in Capital city construction, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has decided to substitute Amaravati with Vizag.
While YSRCP has remained silent on Capital all these months, it now came up with the idea of three capitals. Opposing it, Amaravati farmers staged a protest at the same place where Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for Capital city construction in the past. They called on the farmers in 29 villages asking them to take part in the protest.

The farmers strictly demanded to take back the three-capital-city-model and asked not to spoil the lives of thousands of farmers due to the revenge politics. Meanwhile, TDP and Janasena parties have declared an open support to the farmers protest.
