The farmers of Amaravati have taken a crucial decision. Amaravati JAC and leaders of farmers’ unions have announced padayatra from November 1 to December 17. During the 45 days yatra, the farmers said that they will fight against the government’s decision to trifurcate the capital.
They said that all sections of the people would be included in padayatra and leaders of all parties were already being invited together. The Janasena, CPI and CPM, along with the main opposition TDP, have expressed support for the Amravati Farmers’ Mahapadayatra. Dalit JAC leaders, who were away from the movement for some reason, also said that they would participate in the Mahapadayatra.
On the first day of November 1, the padayatra continues from Tulluru to Tadikonda. From there, it will reach Tirumala via Tadikonda, Guntur, Amaravati Road, Pulladigunta, Ethukuru, Prathipadu, Pedanandipadu, Ongole, Tanguturu, Singarayakonda, Kavali, Nellore, Kovvuru, Venkatagiri, Srikalahasti, Renigunta, Tirupati and Alipiri. Farmers want everyone to support their walk and make it a success.
