JC Diwakar Reddy is known for his sensational comments. Though being a TDP leader, in several instances, he even made controversial comments on the party Chief Chandrababu Naidu and embarrassed him.
In the recent times, a video was out on the social media, which showed him saying that his only reason behind staying with Naidu was that he is in support of farmers and would have left long back, if he wasn’t. The video was shot during the political campaigning for the recently concluded assembly and Lok Sabha elections, but was out into the social media recently. While the video’s embarrassment is still in the minds of TDP people, JC came up with the fresh controversial statements now.
Speaking to the media, the aggressive leader said that TDP had to spend Rs.5000 per voter and Rs.50 crores on one candidate and thus estimated that the entire expenditure of both TDP and YSRCP, during the elections, would be around Rs. 10000 crores.
While a few of the opposition leaders have already reached out to the Election Commission, demanding an action against the TDP leader, in the latest, PCC Secretary G Nagaraju, has demanded a detailed investigation into the issue. He participated in an all-party meeting held at the DCC office in Ananthapur and raised his voice against TDP and even showcased placards in this regard. The leaders assembled over there, blamed EC for allegedly neglecting the issue and so demanded the law to consider the case as suo moto and take a stringent action against the culprits.
While Naidu is making his best efforts to retain the government and is leaving no stone unturned for it, such controversial statements from JC Diwakar Reddy is further worsening the position of TDP, which is already at the edge of losing the power, after the announcement of the results on May 23rd. It should be seen whether any of the TDP circles would respond to the ongoing issue or not.
