Millions of people use social media. While some people use it seriously for their careers, many use it for fun or even for fan wars. It is already known that many film celebrities often use platforms like X, Instagram, and Facebook to promote their movies.
Actress Pooja Hegde shared her thoughts on this during her movie promotion interview. She said that having 30 million followers doesn’t mean they’ll all watch her movies while on the other hand, some superstars with fewer followers still make hundreds of crores at the box office. She explained that social media and box-office success are two separate things, and it’s wrong to link them. With such clarity, Pooja made it clear that actors or fans should not be obsessed with numbers always.
Her comments came as part of the promotions for her movie Retro, which releases on May 1. The film, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, is a gangster drama where she plays a dignified wife. She revealed that her role is important to the story and involves performance rather than dialogues. She also mentioned working on a 15-minute single-take scene, which she believes will impress the audience.
