Every government always wants to be as transparent as possible, in order to make sure that they get the maximum public support as possible. Every decision that a particular government is taking has been made public through GOs since 2008, but that is about to change right now, with the Andhra Pradesh government releasing an order stating that every decision is going to be private from now on.
Muthyalaraju, the Principal Secretary of the Department of General Administration has released this notification, and the notification is now bringing a lot of flak for the AP government. Usually, only controversial decisions are kept private, and told to the public about, after the decisions have been taken. There are also speculations that the government is ruling the state with blank GOs, and the same has been conveyed to the governor by the TDP.
Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy said that his government aims towards being as transparent as possible, during his swearing-in ceremony as the Chief Minister of the state. Given his words, it’s ironic to see that his government is taking this decision.
