Just a week ago the Maharashtra government announced unlocking based on severity of cases at different levels. Subsequently, cinema theatres have got allowance of 50 % capacity and were instructed to follow Covid-19 norms.
Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom was earlier scheduled to release in April 2021 but it got halted due to covid impact for the second time. It was one of the first films to be completed during the pandemic last year but as the second wave affecting the nation, the theatres being inoperative, the makers seem to be waiting for the right moment.
Reportedly, Akshay Kumar and the co producers had potential opportunities from OTT streaming services for a digital premiere. Nonetheless , producer Vashu Bhagnani appears to be keen in release the film in theatres. Both Vashu and Akshay aspired to make it to silver screen to let the viewers have great experience.
As fans have been anxiously waiting for an update, a credible source revealed that official declaration for the theatrical release is in the offing today. The satellite rights of the film are with Sony whereas the digital rights are with Amazon. In addition to it, the makers might even announce the release date along with the theatrical release.
