It is known that Kollywood star Suriya’s much acclaimed film Soorarai Pottru is being remade into Hindi with Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar stepping into the shoes of the Jai Bhim actor.
The Hindi remake will be helmed by Sudha Kongara who had directed the original movie.
The latest update is that Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan have commenced the shooting of Soorarai Pottru.
Akshay Kumar shared a video on his official Instagram handle of the muhurat shot of the film. Sharing the video on Instagram, the actor wrote, “With the auspicious coconut-breaking and a small prayer in our heart, we begin the filming of our yet untitled film which is about dreams and the power of it In case you’ll have any title suggestions, do share and of course your best wishes.”
Suriya, who starred in the original film, is also backing the Hindi remake. Taking to Twitter he shared a couple of pictures with the movie team and sought the blessings of everyone for their maiden Bollywood project.
