Story:
Krishna (Pradeep Machiraju), a civil engineer from Hyderabad, has a strange rule for himself—he never helps anyone. He is sent to Bhairi Lanka village to build bathrooms, but the villagers don’t let him in because he’s an outsider. The village has a weird rule: no outsider is allowed to talk to or see Raja (Deepika Pilli), the only woman in the village, because every man there wants to marry her. The villagers agree to let Krishna stay only if he promises to stay away from Raja. Things go smoothly until the villagers find out that Krishna and Raja love each other. What happens later? Needs to be seen in the film.
What about on-screen performances?
Pradeep Machiraju does an excellent job with his performance in this film. His boy-next-door looks work in favor of the script, and he succeeds in providing some light-hearted humor in his typical style.
Deepika Pilli makes a solid debut as the leading lady. She gets her expressions right and looks good in the role of a village belle. She also shares a charming on-screen chemistry with Pradeep.
Satya & Getup Srinu steal the show with their impeccable comic timing, keeping the audience thoroughly entertained.
Vennela Kishore, Brahmanandam & Kodati Pavan Kalyan also get to raise a few laughs in their limited roles.
Muralidhar Goud, G M Sundar, John Vijay, Rohini, Jhansi, Brahmaji, Rajitha, Gemini Suresh, Sai Swetha, Rajendran & others do their parts well in supporting roles.
What about off-screen talents?
The story by Sandeep Bolla is quite simple, but it is laced with an interesting concept related to the heroine and the village she lives in. Also, the way the hero character is brought into this setup with lots of chaos makes it more entertaining. The drama woven around the characters is also decent.
The screenplay by Nitin – Bharath is written well, with the comedy working out well at regular intervals. It starts off decently with this fresh concept, and the first half is full of laughs, with Pradeep, Satya, and the antics of the 60 villagers delivering great comedy. The interval part is predictable, but the scene and twist that come post the interval are good. The second half dips slightly in terms of engagement, but the fun factor remains intact. The concept of having a wedding for 60 people does not sync properly, and the emotional scenes at the end feel forced and lack a natural approach.
Debutant directors Nitin and Bharath are successful in giving a light-hearted entertainer that has been missing in Telugu cinema for a long time. Their presentation and their choice of narrative are neat. Both of them have a good experience on television, and have a clear idea of how jokes should land. This experience works in the film’s favour.
The dialogues by Sandeep Bolla are funny, and all the portions involving Satya & Getup Srinu are well written.
The songs by Radhan are good, but most of them are added into the plot without any purpose, as they look misplaced. The background score is okay.
The camerawork by MN Balreddy’s is superb. He captures the village atmosphere well.
The edit by Kodati Pavan Kalyan could’ve been a little sharper, especially in the second half.
The production values by Monks & Monkeys are adequate.

Verdict: Overall, Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi is a light-hearted entertainer that delivers ample laughs with a fresh concept and breezy narration. It gives us a feeling of watching the classic village comedies done by Allari Naresh & Rajendra Prasad in the past, where they take a concept and weave clean comedy around it.
