Baahubali and KGF are successful movie series from the South Indian film industry. These days, many big stars are making movies in two parts with massive budgets. Even before completing the first part, some directors are planning sequels. If a movie does well, they proceed with the sequel; otherwise, the idea is being dropped.
Chandu Mondeti followed the Baahubali steps and successfully crafted a sequel to Karthikeya. Tillu Square also became a blockbuster. Boyapati Srinu is gearing up for a sequel to Akhanda.
Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rule and Prabhas’ Salaar 2 are eagerly awaited sequels. NTR is cooking up something intriguing with Deva and this movie is also announced announced to be a two part movie.
On the other hand, Power star Pawan Kalyan’s movie, OG in the direction of Sujeeth and Hariharaveeramallu, directed by Krish, is also going the two-part route as per sources.
Kalki 2898AD, starring Prabhas and NTR’s upcoming film, helmed by Prashant Neel, would unfold in two parts. Even Spirit, featuring Prabhas, might join the sequel club.
And the latest to join is Akhil’s Dheera, directed by the debutant Anil Kumar under UV creations banner. The first part of Dheera alone is being made on a jaw-dropping budget of around 100 croresas per sources.
These ambitious films are aiming to replicate the monumental success of Baahubali and KGF.
