TDP member and former minister of Andhra Pradesh, Bhuma Akhila Priya was recently arrested with respect to the kidnapping of Praveen Rao, Telangana Chief Minister KCR’s relative. Rao was kidnapped due to some land disputes between his family and Akhila Priya’s family.
This piece of land is in Hafeezpet, and all the members of Akhila Priya’s family are confidently saying that the lands belong to their family, and not to Praveen Rao. Akhila Priya’s family members are saying that their father’s closest associate, AV Subba Reddy, is now helping Praveen Rao take hold of these lands, and is trying to obliterate their family from it.
Keeping aside the matter of who this land belongs to in the first place, the land is right now occupied, with huge scale constructions going on in the land. There’s no clarity over whether this land comes under the private or government sector either. Speaking to the media recently, Akhila Priya’s brother and sister, Vikhyath Reddy and Mounika have said that the land is currently under Jupalli Rameshwar Rao’s My Homegroups. Rameshwar Rao is quite close to CM KCR, because of which Vikhyath and Mounika have requested CM KCR to take immediate action and make sure that justice is served to them.
With the name of My Home Group slowly surfacing in this issue, the Bharatiya Janata Party is saying that everyone who has close relations to influential people in the TRS are misusing their power, and are suppressing anyone who is standing in their way. They are also saying that discussions of a common agreement and settlement between both the parties is being tried, so that the issue doesn’t get bigger.
For now, there’s no clarity over what the issue really is, and who the culprits are. Conclusions can only be drawn after the full picture comes out, provided that there’s no sort of settlement achieved in the meanwhile. Until then, the public will only have to bear witness to what’s going on.
