The pre-release event of the highly awaited divine action spectacle Akhanda 2: Tandavam turned into a massive celebration as “God of Masses” Nandamuri Balakrishna, director Boyapati Sreenu, the cast, and thousands of fans came together in an electrifying atmosphere. The film, produced by Ram Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under 14 Reels Plus, is set for a worldwide grand release on December 5, 2025, in both 2D and 3D formats. With SS Thaman’s music, the teasers, trailers, and songs have already created huge expectations.
Balakrishna delivered an emotional, powerful, and devotional speech, calling Akhanda 2 a film filled with the energy of Lord Shiva, Rudra Tandava intensity, and the spirit of Sanatana Dharma. He thanked the fans for their unending love and said their bond with him is eternal. Remembering his father and legendary actor Dr. Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, he expressed gratitude for giving him the strength to stand as a representative of millions of people.
Balakrishna said that Akhanda succeeded even during the Covid fear because the audience supported good cinema. He added that Akhanda 2 is much more powerful, with the spirit of Mahadev, the blessings of Adishakti, and divine energy flowing into his character. He praised Boyapati Sreenu’s vision, saying their combination enters a “sacred fire” whenever they start a film together. He also shared that shooting in extreme cold locations like Georgia was challenging but rewarding. He expressed confidence that the film will explode at the box office and thanked every artist and technician, including Thaman, Ram-Lakshman, the costume team, and the producers. Balakrishna also revealed that he dubbed for the Hindi version himself.
Boyapati Sreenu called Balakrishna the strength and soul of the film. He thanked the governments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and all departments for their support during the shoot. The director said he believes in emotions that transform into action, and Akhanda 2 was made with that raw emotion. He revealed that the film has been awarded a U/A certificate and that the censor members praised it highly. Boyapati described the film as a spiritual experience driven by divine guidance, especially while shooting in unbelievable locations. He said that Akhanda 2 will showcase the pride, power, and protection of Sanatana Dharma and deliver the scale that fans expect from their combination.
Music director SS Thaman said Akhanda 2 is three times bigger and more powerful than the first part, adding that only Lord Shiva could give him the strength to compose for such a film. He called Balakrishna’s presence divine and warned fans to “service your speakers before December 5” because the film’s sound experience will be explosive.
Producer Gopichand Achanta said fans are the oxygen of cinema and declared that the combination of Balakrishna and Boyapati guarantees another double blockbuster. Actors Sanya Malhotra (Sanyuktha), Aadhi Pinisetty, Harshaali Malhotra, Poorna, Kabir Singh, Murali Mohan, and others shared their joy about being part of this massive film. Ram-Lakshman Masters said working on Akhanda 2 felt like being inside a temple, and the action sequences carry divine energy. Lyricists Kalyan Chakravarthy and Kasarla Shyam said the film feels like celebrating Maha Shivaratri with the audience. Bhagavad Gita verses recorded for key scenes will add spiritual depth, said Ghantasala Shastri.
