Akhanda 2: Thandavam, one of the most highly anticipated Telugu sequels of the year, is generating considerable excitement. Featuring Padma Bhushan recipient Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead and directed by Boyapati Sreenu, the film is expected to be a significant milestone in the actor’s illustrious career.
New chatter has emerged on social media about the film’s teaser. Reports suggest the teaser has already been finalized, with a runtime of approximately 110 seconds. It’s also believed that Balakrishna completed his dubbing work for both the Telugu and Hindi versions before heading to Georgia to shoot the film’s climax.
Sources indicate that the teaser will be unveiled on June 10, 2025 coinciding with Balakrishna’s birthday as a special surprise for fans.
In another update, industry insiders hint that the film’s theatrical release might be shifted to Pongal 2026. This change is reportedly under consideration due to the possible release of Pawan Kalyan’s They Call Him OG around the same previously scheduled date, September 25, 2025. However, there has been no official word confirming the change yet.
The sequel also stars Pragya Jaiswal, Samyuktha, and other prominent actors. It is being bankrolled by Raam Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner, with music composed by Thaman.
