In March this year Ajay Devgn took to his online media profile sharing an enigmatic message wherein he requested that fans and followers call him not as Ajay Devgn but rather as Sudarshan. Around then reports asserted that the said post was a promotional stunt for his scheduled web show that would likewise marks Devgn’s OTT debut.
Presently, half a month now, a media portal has extracted out more details about the show. A little birdie reveals that the said show will be a remake of the acclaimed British TV show ‘Luther’. Luther is a psychological crime drama that premiered on BBC one in 2010.
Ajay is said to assume the role of John Luther as Sudarshan, a passionate detective who befriends psychopath and murderer whom he couldn’t nab due to lack of evidence and later they associate to solve cases together.
Speaking on the same the insider let the cat out of the bag-“Yes, Ajay will be making his OTT debut with the Luther remake that is jointly being produced by BBC India and Applause Entertainment. Once done the show will be aired on Disney+ Hotstar, and an official declaration of the show will happen sometime next week.”
Reportedly, makers of this webseries have approached Ileana D Cruz for the female lead.
