Former minister and TDP leader Paritala Sunitha’s younger son Siddhartha has been booked by Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) police on Thursday after they found a live round of ammunition in his baggage.
As per reports, the airport security personnel found a bullet of 5.56 calibre in the baggage during screening. Siddartha was on his way to Srinagar from Shamshabad Airport. CISF personnel, who found the bullet, immediately informed the airport police.
Reports revealed that Siddartha was not aware of the ammo in his baggage and was not carrying valid documents. A show-cause notice has been issued to Siddhartha under the Indian Arms Act and was asked Siddhartha to give an explanation in this regard. The police also asked him to submit the details of his licensed gun.
