Naveen Polishetty made his debut as the lead hero in the detective thriller ‘Agent Sai Srinivasa Atreya’ and won the hearts of many Telugu audience. Needless to say it became a massive hit at the box-office and grossed above 10 Cr in both the Telugu States.
Subsequent to the success, the director Swaroop Rsj announced a sequel too. Interestingly, the other industry film makers are vying to avail ‘Agent Sai Srinivasa Atreya’s remake rights amidst the cut throat competition. Now many production houses already offered a decent price and it was recently sold to Tamil film makers. Hearsay is that Actor Santhanam would play the role of Naveen Polishetty in the Tamil version. However, an official confirmation is awaited.
Currently , the reports are rife that the Hindi remake rights of ‘Agent Sai Srinivasa Atreya’ too are acquired by a producer for a mammoth price of 2 Cr. Recently Vishwak Sen’s crime thriller ‘Hit’ was bought from Venkateshwara creations similarly by a Bollywood film maker too. Needless to say Bollywood has been showing keen interest in the South Indian movies, which became a safe bet to the B town makers.
Agent Sai Srinivas Athreya portrays the story of a rookie detective who voluntarily attempts to bust the mystery behind a dead body dumped on a railway track.
