Former India skipper and current captain of Chennai Super Kings, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is expected to retire from the game after IPL 2023.
We all know that the 41-year-old is the only captain to win all three white-ball ICC tournaments- the 2007 T20 World Cup, the 2011 ODI World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy.
The latest reports suggest that the Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) is said to be planning to bring Dhoni on board to build a strong T20I team for future matches. It is known that the Men In Blue faced an embarrassing exit from the recent T20 World Cup 2022.
Amid these tough developments, the BCCI is said to be in talks with Dhoni to use his experience and technical acumen by bringing him in some capacity with the T20 side. In the past, MSD took up the job as a consultant for the Indian team in T20 World Cup 2021.
