Afsar Azad has built a unique identity as both an actor and a social worker, earning admiration for his work in cinema as well as his service to society. While entertaining audiences on screen, he has also been quietly supporting the needy through charity initiatives in real life.
Born on June 5, 1983, in Vikarabad, Afsar Azad began his journey with humble beginnings. At just 15 years old, he entered the business world by launching a samosa company in Moti Nagar in 1998. Through determination and hard work, he later expanded into multiple ventures and currently runs the popular Arabian Mandi restaurant in Moosapet, while also pursuing agriculture.
Despite his business success, Azad followed his passion for acting and entered the film industry with the movie Simhachalam. He went on to appear in several Telugu films including Sarrainodu, Mahanubhavudu, Bhale Bhale Magadivoy, and Babu Bangaram. He also played lead roles and strong villain characters in Tamil and Bhojpuri cinema, showcasing his versatility.
His action performances in films like Gate and Rudra IPS earned him the prestigious Real Star Srihari Award for performing real fight sequences without body doubles.
In 2019, he founded the Azad Foundation to support underprivileged communities. During the COVID-19 crisis, the foundation reportedly helped around 1,400 poor families with groceries and medicines. He also established an old-age home that currently shelters 22 senior citizens, providing them with care and support.
