The deadly Coronavirus has taken the life of yet another member of the South film industry. Actor-cinematographer Shaman Mithru passed away in Chennai on Thursday due to Covid-19 complications. He was 43.
As per reports, Shaman’s wife, Shakuntala, had tested positive for coronavirus, and later, he, too, infected with the virus.
Shaman was hospitalised for the past one month and was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Chromepet. Unfortunately, the talented actor couldn’t win the battle against Covid-19 and surrendered his life to it.
Shaman Mithru is survived by his wife and five-year-old daughter. He made his acting debut with the 2019 film Thorati. Shaman has worked as a Director of Photography (DOP) on various productions.
