Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics Nara Lokesh met Action Tesa MD & CEO Vivek Jain on Day 1 of the CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam. During the meeting, Lokesh urged the company to establish a secondary or satellite MDF manufacturing unit in Andhra Pradesh to strengthen the state’s industrial base and meet rising demand in the engineered wood sector.
Action Tesa is one of India’s leading engineered wood panel manufacturers, established in the 1970s. The company has diversified operations spanning footwear, electronics, real estate, chemicals, flex manufacturing, coal mining, and engineered wood products. With a strong pan-India network covering major metros and 70% of tier-2 cities, the company recorded an annual revenue of ₹4,865 crore in 2025.
Lokesh highlighted that Action Tesa’s current manufacturing facility at Sitarganj is operating with a capacity of 7.5 lakh CBM. He said that setting up a satellite MDF plant in Andhra Pradesh would not only reduce pressure on the existing unit but also support the growing demand for additional manufacturing hubs across the country.
CEO Vivek Jain said the Delhi-headquartered company currently employs 2,846 people and has been continuously upgrading its technology. He noted that Action Tesa successfully launched seventh-generation ContiRoll technology in 2018 and recently introduced Dome Technology to diversify its product portfolio. Jain assured that the company will examine the proposals put forward by the Andhra Pradesh government and explore possibilities for expansion in the state.
