Released amid high expectations, Megastar Chiranjeevi starrer Acharya failed to make a big noise at the box office. Directed by Koratala Siva, the action drama film featured Ram Charan in a key role. Despite the dashing performances of the father-son duo, the movie ended as a dud in Chiru’s career and left the producers in hefty losses.
Now, Chiranjeevi has responded to the failure of Acharya. In a recent interaction, the Sye Raa actor said that he takes full responsibility when a movie of his fails.
Chiru revealed that he and his son Ram Charan returned 80 percent of their remuneration for Acharya to the producer after its failure. The veteran actor also said that he has no guilt regarding this movie.
On the other side, Chiranjeevi’s latest outing GodFather is registering decent numbers at the box office. Directed by Mohan Raja, the movie also featured Nayanthara, Satyadev, and Murali Sharma, among others in key roles.
