It is known that Donald Trump once again signed executive order imposing restrictions on the immigration. There has been a lot of debate in the social media on who exactly got impacted due to this new rule. As far as TeluguBulletin’s discussion with a top immigration firm, here is the view of who exactly got impacted due to Trump’s new executive order.
The rule which will be in place from June 24th 12:01AM ET, suspends the entry of H1B, L1, J1 and their respective dependents till 31st Dec, 2020. The proclamation focuses on people who doesn’t have a valid visa stamp on the passport before 24th June, 2020. It would be almost impossible for these people to enter US till 31st Dec, 2020.
More clarity is needed on the other cases but the people who are inside US and have a valid visa stamp are safe. Visa renewals, transfers and I140 related processing for the visa holders inside US are said to be least impacted. The new rule is said to be restricting the Canadian citizens more than people belonging to other nations.
While there might be several clauses and loopholes inside the order, this is the preliminary understanding of majority of the immigration firms who are dealing with all sorts of visa cases. Stay tuned to know more regular updates on this topic.
