As the panchayat elections have reached the final stage, a re-notification has been issued for the municipal elections. The government has already asked the State Election Commission (SEC) to hold Zilla Parishad and Mandal Parishad elections as well.
It seems likely that the Parishad election schedules will be released the day after the final phase of polling for the panchayat elections ends i.e; on February 21st.
Elections for Zilla Parishad and Mandal Parishad positions will be held between the 20th and 23rd of next month.
If it is concluded that there was a forced consensus in the MPTC and ZPTC election process held last year. Now, it has been decided to start the nomination process again.
Only those who complained to the police or election officials at that time and those who had been prevented from filing a nomination or had been forced to withdraw their nomination would be given this opportunity.
