Recently, the state government constituted a nine-member high-level committee to identify the buildings and residential complexes required for Amaravati as the legislative capital and suggest what to do with the already completed and unfinished government housing complexes.
The CS-chaired committee has appointed the Secretary to the Planning Department as the Convener.
The committee consists of members of the Legislative Assembly Secretary, General Administration Department (Services), Chief Secretaries of Municipalities and Finance Ministries, Judiciary Secretary, Amravati Metropolitan Region Development Authority (AMRDA) Commissioner as its members.
The committee will report on whether the apartments, bungalows, and other buildings at various stages in Amravati should be completed as previously planned or if there are opportunities to reduce the burden on the government.
