In a tragic incident, a couple from the Krishna district have committed suicide near the camp office of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
As per reports, Naresh and Saraswati came to the CM’s camp office in Tadepalli, as their family financial situation was worsened. The couple asked security personnel to allow them to meet CM Jagan.
However, the officials halted them saying they could not meet the CM because of Covid-19 protocols. The police said they would hand over the notice to the CM if given.
As they couldn’t meet YS Jagan, the couple both poured petrol and tried to commit suicide. The accident was averted when alerted personnel immediately intercepted them. The woman, who was suffering from epilepsy, was shifted to a primary health centre in Tadepalli.
