The TRS leaders, who confidently said that they would grab 16 out of 17 Lok Sabha seats, shockingly had to face a competition from both national parties- BJP and YSRCP.
TRS could win only 9 out of 17 seats, while AIMIM retained Hyderabad seat. BJP, on the other side won four Lok Sabha seats in Telangana and Congress three.
Much to the shock of many, Telangana Chief Minister KCR’s daughter Kavitha, who contested as an MP from Nizamabad, had to face a debacle this time. BJP candidate D. Aravind has won the seat with a good majority.
For failing to bring the minimum support price for red turmeric, several farmers in the district have revolted against Kavitha, and contested against her. 232 farmers from Nizamabad contested from the constituency and adding to it, the BJP candidate has got an anti-incumbency vote which is what made him victorious in Nizamabad.
