Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings headed for a clash second time this season today. Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and decided to bat first. The team brought Moeen Ali into the team. CSK, too made a couple of changes by getting Mitchell Santher and Monu Kumar into the team. RCB started off well but failed to put in a big score after back to back fall of wickets.
Virat Kohli scored a half-century, and AB De Villiers too tried to help the score cord moving forward at a good pace. In the end, post the dismissal of Kohli, the other batsmen, too, were in a hurry to reach the dugout. Overall, in Twenty overs, RCB scored 145 runs for the fall of six wickets. Sam Curran bowled very well from CSK. He bowled 3 overs and took 3 wickets for 19 runs. Deepak Chahar took two wickets, and Mitchell Santher took a wicket.
In the second innings, CSK put a brilliant start. Both the openers Ruthuraj Gaikwad and Faf Du Plessis came up with good shots and kept the team comfortable in the first four overs. After Faf dismissal, Gaikwad continued attacking, and Rayudu supported him. Gaikwad scored his first-ever half-century in IPL and displayed a class performance in the game.
Chennai Super Kings won the game by 8 wickets.
