With five wins in hand, Mumbai is just a couple of steps away from confirming their berth in the playoffs. They will be taking on Kolkata Knight Riders tonight in Abu Dhabi. Kolkata’s case is different as they won four out of their three games and is still yet to find a formula to win the games.
Both these teams faced each other a couple of weeks back and in that match, Mumbai won by whopping 48 runs. The Rohit Sharma-led side will be looking forward to continuing the same form this time as well. Their playing XI is set and they will not like to tamper with it. Everyone is in a great form and that is the major reason why Mumbai looks invincible this season.
Coming to Kolkata, they are coming from a huge defeat in the hands of Royal Challengers Bangalore. Sunil Narine may not play this match as well due to his suspect bowling action. The rest of their bowling unit looks decent with the likes of Pat Cummins, Varun Chakravarthy and Kamlesh Nagarkoti.
However, none of them gave a match-winning performance yet. The batsmen are doing well individually but are not giving a team effort in many games. Kolkata needs to sort these issues to win against Mumbai.
The game begins at 07.30 PM IST.
