Dr. P Ramesh, the main accused in the Swarna palace Mishap was served notices from the Vijayawada Police and he has to appear before the Vijayawada police station for further interrogation. The Swarna Palace Hotel is converted into a makeshift Covid-19 care center before the fire mishap in which 10 people were reportedly dead.
Ramesh, after the accident, flew away and had been in contact with the media alleging the government that they are targeting him with a personal vendetta. Then the High Court issued a stay on Ramesh Kumar’s arrest and questioned the AP government why the govt. officials are spared from the interrogation and against the action to be taken as the mishap occurred with all required permissions from all concerned agencies.
Later, Supreme Court canceled the stay issued by the HC which came as a moral victory to the YS Jagan who desperately needs a console from any kind of judicial system in the country given his recent interactions with the High Court. However Dr. Ramesh citing a Supreme Court order banning custodial interrogation in view of the Covid-19 situation, he stated that he will be willing to appear for virtual interrogation.
Now, with Ramesh appearing for interrogation, the AP government will definitely tighten the screws around him and it is interesting to see how this whole thing ends in the final segment of this episode.
