The AP government, run by the YSRCP under the leadership of Jagan Mohan Reddy has become very famous for his revenge politics of late, with the actions of the party very much hinting at getting back at those who offend them.
A very popular opinion among political circles is that whenever the ruling party has a problem with someone, the ruling party makes sure that the person is arrested by the Police department and retained for sometime before they are once again left free. This is especially true when it comes to political leaders participating in protests.
Leaders of the BJP and TDP have been retained and house arrested in the recent past by the Police department, for taking part in protests, letting their concern be known, especially with regards to the burning of the Antarvedi chariot. The latest to be arrested for taking part in a protest is Jana Sena Party leader Potina Venkata Mahesh.
Mahesh was taking part in a protest, following the 3 missing silver lions from the chariot of Kanaka Durga Temple of Vijayawada. Mahesh demanded that Vellampalli Srinivas quit as endowments minister and Suresh Babu as executive officer as responsibility for the missing silver lion statutes.
Previously, one prominent BJP leader had even said that the YSRCP is running the state by its own constitutional rules that cares about no one but the ruling party members.
