Ravi Teja has an interesting line-up of films in the pipeline and he will start working on them once favorable conditions prevail. One of his future projects is set to be directed by Ramesh Varma and if the latest updates are to go by, this film is facing a big hurdle now.
Koneru Satyanarayana who is bankrolling this film had acquired the remake rights of Tamil film, Sathuranga Vettai 2 and planned to remake the film with Ravi Teja.
However, the latest developments in Tamil cinema are suggesting that Sathuranga Vettai 2 will be out on OTT platforms soon. If that is the case, there is no point in remaking the film in Telugu as a sizeable section of the audience will watch the original on digital medium.
Sathuranga Vettai 2 has Aravind Swami and Trisha in the lead roles and was a critically acclaimed thriller. Ravi Teja and Ramesh Varma planned to remake the film in Telugu, but they might have to change their plans after the original film is set to go the OTT way.
We need to wait and see if Ravi Teja and Ramesh Varma will still go ahead with the remake or work on a new script now.
