If the latest reports are to be believed, the second installment of KGF franchise, KGF: Chapter 2 might be hitting the floors post-independence day, August 15th.
The makers are aiming a 2021 Sankranthi release and the remaining portion of the film will be shot in a single schedule.
The unit is now planning a two-week long schedule that is likely to commence by the end of this month. All of the remaining talkie part will be wrapped up in this schedule. If this turns out to be the case, KGF 2 will be the first South Indian biggie to commence shoot post the lockdown period.
The director Prashanth Neel has already started working on the post-production. The music composer Ravi Basrur is busy with the background scoring and will start working on re-recording once the dubbing work is completed, say reports.
The big-budget action drama is slated for release on October 23rd but it might get postponed to Sankranthi season owing to the delay in shoot.
The Telugu theatrical business of KGF 2 is yet to be completed. The producers are in talks with Varahi Movies, who are certain to release the film in the Telugu states.
