Bollywood’s veteran choreographer Saroj Khan fell sick recently and currently found to be recuperating slowly. The 71 year old choreographer was admitted to the Gurunanak Hospital in Bandra, Mumbai with a breathing problem causing Asphyxia. Saroj Khan, who was diagnosed with respiratory disease, was examined for covid-19 by doctors and found to be tested negative.
In this view, movie director/writer Kunal Kohli has shared an update about Saroj Khan’s present condition, after she was hospitalized on Saturday. He posted on Twitter that he talked to her son, choreographer Raju Khan, who said that she has been recuperating well and her health is in better state.
Spoke to #RajuKhan just now. Son of #SarojKhan,He said Masterji is doing better & is recuperating. She was taken to the hospital as she felt breathless. No covid.She’s better now.He thanks everyone for their prayers & wishes.We hope & pray our beloved Masterji is home soon,” the director tweeted.
On further inquiry, a spokesperson said she had severe trouble in breathing and was taken to clinic. She was mandatorily subjected to Covid-19 test, which came negative without any indications and is probably going to be discharged in a day or two.
Saroj Khan started as a background dancer at three years of age and got her first break as a choreographer with ‘Geeta Mera Naam’ in 1974 without a pay. The choreographer who is known as the mother of dance/ choreography in India choreographed more than 2 thousand films and ruled the roost for nearly two decades. She is a three time national award winner who rose to fame with songs like ‘Hawa Hawai’ from Mr India, ‘Dolare Dolare’ from Shahrukh Khan starrer ‘Devdas’, ‘Ek do teen song’ from ‘Tejab’ starring Madhuri Dixit, ‘Ye Ishq ha ye’ from ‘Jab we met’ among others.
