After a 40-day gap, the drunkards in Andhra Pradesh state rushed to the wine shops from May 4th, and these four days, they have contributed to the majority of the state economy single-handedly. On average, the government is getting Rs.40 crore per day from the AP government wine shops alone.
Meanwhile, the government sources detected that all liquor sales are happening at a record level except this type of alcohol. That is none other than Beer. Any young drunkard starts the habit with beer. Beer is the starter pack for all drunkards especially for the students and IT employees it is a compulsory drink on weekends.
In any wine shop, Beer sales record higher than others but in AP the present situation is very different. AP government is experiencing about 60% declination in the sales of Beer when compared to regular. There are many obvious reasons for the decrease in sales of Beer.
AP government has decreased the number of wine shops in the state to 20%. Moreover, many unknown, unpopular, and potentially dangerous brands such as Kolt, Boom, Blockbuster are available instead of regular brands.
Along with them, the increased prices of the Beer equaled the price of a quarter of whiskey/Brandy of reasonable brands. So, many people shifted themselves to those kinds of wines. In AP government wine shops there is no availability of a freezer to keep the Beers ice cool.
The majority of consumers who purchase Beer are students and Bachelors who don’t have freezers in their rooms and hostels. So, because of all these factors, there has been a significant drop in the sales of Beer.
