District Collector Anitha Ramachandran on Thursday requested farmers to use “Yadadri Rythu Yanthra” portable application to benefit the services of agricultural devices and reaping machines without any hassles during the lockdown time frame.
The Collector said the versatile application was launched around a half year back, however was not broadly utilised by farmers because of absence of mindfulness. Through the application, farmers can likewise book collecting machines, seed planting machines and levelling tractors and avail their services at the fixed time like Ola and Uber taxis. The office is accessible to all the farmers in the 17 mandals of the locale,” she added.
With the State growing leaps and bounds in farm production, development and utilization of present day innovation have become the reasons for progress. Earlier, Nirmal district collector M Prashanthi introduced the idea of using mobile apps to have access to farm machinery. Supporting the same, District collector Anitha once again reminded the long-lost app which has been under-utilised by the farmers.
It’s known that recently she suggested farmers to sell their Paddy in token system at paddy procurement centres. In a move to make farmers more familiar with modern technology, she said farmers can get their needs for agricultural tools fulfilled at a price fixed by the State government. Around 100 Agriculture Extension Officers would work as facilitators and assist the illiterate farmers in utilising the mobile app more effectively. It’s simple and user friendly and they can download the app on their android mobile phones from the app store.
