We have been listening and reading a lot of stuff about providing aid to daily wage workers in the film industry. These daily wage workers include personal staff or heroes and heroines.
All these people get paid hefty amounts every day and even if they stay out of work for a few months it doesn’t matter.
But there are assistant directors who hang around right from the conception of a film idea till post release. Not all get paid good amounts, these people get far less than the staff of the artistes and have to wait every month to get their salaries. Won’t it be good if they too get paid during the lock down period?
Most directors and writers according to industry circle, like Teja and Vijayendra Prasad are heard to defer payments to assistant directors and aren’t that fair.
Some producers like Dil Raju are very sincere and prompt and their staff get paid irrespective of any calamity…no wonder some Ads despite not getting a chance in production houses to direct films prefer to remain employed with Dil Raju and the like because by end of the month atleast money gets deposited into their accounts.
