The situation is the U.S is too alarming at the moment as the country has registered 10 thousand new Covid-19 positive cases along with 130 deaths on Monday recording its highest since the outbreak of Corona.
The American government hasn’t announced lockdown yet considering the severity of the situation. Especially the New York State in U.S is registering way too higher number of cases than any other state. If New York were a country, it would have been on 6th position in the world with the number of Coronavirus cases, if #1 has the highest.
New York Governor Cuomo revealed the numbers that there are 25,665 positive cases in New York state and of which 14776 cases are located in the city as of Tuesday. At this rate, it takes just another two and a half weeks for the whole city to get infected with Covid-19 if no precautionary measures were taken.
On the other side, there are only 53000 beds are available while the state needs 140,000 hospital beds to house virus patients and up to 40000 ICU beds could be needed.
