In a shocker, a huge number of VVPAT slips, which are supposed to be secured till the results, have been found in Atmakur government school.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is severely going against the Election Commission alleging that the EVMs have malfunctioned during the elections. He waged a huge war against the EC, by accompanying all his friends in the regional parties in other states and is thus protesting in Delhi. While all the opposition parties termed his protest as a political stunt, here came a solid proof that could help him in taking the protest forward.
A huge number of VVPAT slips have been found in Atmakur. A student found the slips in Atmakur government school premises. When the media questioned about the slips, the district collector said that such slips could have been out while randomization of the EVMs. But as per the rules, even the randomization slips are supposed to be secured by the election authorities.
Even the Revenue Divisional Officer reached out to the venue later and traced huge amounts of slips around the school. He confirmed that the slips are out during the randomization and the authorities later burnt all such traced slips in the presence of RDO.
Meanwhile, after the news was out into the media, the netizens opined that if this is the position before the elections, it would obviously manipulate the results that are scheduled to be out on May 23rd. The 2019 elections have become the most complicated in the recent years. Many videos have been surfaced on the social media, where the rigging took place on the election day. But none of those videos have grabbed any attention as no main stream media focused on it. If this is the case, the several findings like this would gradually reduce the public confidence on the electoral process, the analysts opine.
