Talented actress Samantha Akkineni is reportedly in talks with director Ashwin Saravanan of Game Over fame. Sam proved her mettle with Oh! Baby, the success of which rode solely on her shoulders.
Inspired by her brilliant performance in Oh! Baby, Ashwin Saravanan has now approached Sam with an interesting female-centric story. A source close to Samantha said, “She is excited about this film. She is waiting to sign this film and that’s the reason she hasn’t signed anything else.” The source further added that the idea is to make it a bilingual, releasing in Telugu and Tamil.
Well, it seems this is the major reason behind Samantha’s gap for her upcoming films. On the other hand, Sam is awaiting the release of the Telugu remake of Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha’s 96, which is tentatively titled as Jaanu. The film, backed by Dil Raju, is likely to arrive in theatres on February 14th, 2020. Sam is also working on the Amazon Prime Original The Family Man Season 2, featuring Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee in the lead.
