SS Rajamouli is a household name internationally, thanks to the phenomenal success of the ‘Baahubali’ franchise. While the director is being lauded for his vision and craft, there is a strange superstition, weird sentiment doing the rounds in the film industry around our very own successful director Rajamouli.
It seems any of his assistant director’s own film will be doomed to flop. The latest victim of this superstition appears to be Raj Tharun’s ‘Iddari Lokam Okate’ director GR Krishna.
Earlier, he has worked as an assistant director to Rajamouli but his latest film turned out to be a massive flop.
Besides assistant directors, it seems any actor would also, be blessed with a hit when working with Rajamouli, but his next film will be dud at the box office.
Take, for instance, Jr NTR, who’d worked with Rajamouli for Student No.1. While that movie was a hit, the actor’s next film Subbu turned a big dud.
Likewise, recently, actor Prabhas who received critical acclaim with the Baahubali franchise faced the same results; his next film Saaho turned out to be a flop.
Sources say that this has been a pattern for almost all the actors and his assistant directors.
